BCI ELECTRIC BUSES CLEAN UP AT THE 2009 B.A.A.V. AWARDS

With many of the BCI customers from Australia and NZ present, we were proud and excited to release our prototype electric buses at the 2009 Busworld Expo in Shanghai, and even more pleased that we again showed strength in the shows distinguished B.A.A.V awards, winning the trophies for both of the new energy vehicle categories.

The vehicles that picked up awards were both from our new electric range. The first, winning the coveted ‘Best New Energy Bus for 2009’, is an electric prototype modeled on our popular PROMA bus. The second award we picked up was modeled on our 12 meter city bus, and this bus won the ‘Best New Energy City Bus for 2009’

The BCI focus on Electric and Diesel Electric vehicles reflects our philosophy of working toward a cleaner and greener environment through carbon emission reduction on a global scale.

We took the BCI philosophy of ‘cleaning up’ the environment just one step further by cleaning up at the BAAV bus awards.

Well done BCI Team! .

15/1/2008 2007 massive year for Australian bus sales
Tuesday 15 January 2008

….The star performer in 2007 would have to go to BCI for their tremendous move from 17 vehicles in 2006 to 115 in 2007.

BCI has seen a steady increase in sales over the last twelve months, and Mark Nazzari believes this can not only be attributed to the product, but also to the distributors and their experienced personnel.

BCI delivered its first completed vehicle in September 2006.

"One year later we have completed 210 vehicles for the Australian and New Zealand markets and expect to deliver 15 to 20 per month for the next five months," Nazzari says.
